The process for building this application will require strong relationships with local suppliers, to insure solid communication and immediate response to requests for information, pricing and time commitments.  EKB Consulting Incorporated has considerable influence with these suppliers due to our long history in the province and considerable experience completing numerous similar projects.  Our connections include utilities like Manitoba Hydro Telecom, Telco’s, Internet Service Providers like High Speed Crow and Manitoba NetSet as well as working closely with Municipalities, School Divisions, Manitoba First Nations Communities and contractors who install, maintain and repair fiber.  Our partners are certified Internet Service Providers experienced in developing a business case, then designing, building, maintaining and supplying fiber optic and wireless networks that deliver high bandwidth to rural communities.   

Grant Writing Expertise

EKB Consulting Incorporated has expertise building grant submissions and understands the Federal Government grant application process.  We have a proven track record of success helping clients procure funding.  

Careful attention to the previous elements will facilitate the acquisition of funding from the Federal and Manitoba Governments however if these components are not presented judiciously, access to funding will be difficult.  EKB Consulting Incorporated has considerable experience procuring funding, including the preparation of appropriate applications and contribution agreements.  The in-depth research associated with achievements and challenges in bandwidth development in Manitoba and other provinces has been invaluable in building a deep understanding of the unique needs and considerations necessary to develop a roadmap supported by the governance and operating structure necessary to complete projects.
